Adult First Visit

Dr. Whitwell wants to get to know you personally! He will use our advanced technology to aid him in drawing up a treatment plan that will fit with your goals, concerns and expectations. Dr. Whitwell encourages questions and will share some options that you might not have known existed. This is an exciting time in dentisty and we look forward to working with you.

What to expect:

A through review of your medical history (please bring a list of medications you are taking).

Full Mouth Series of digital x-rays.

Photographs of your teeth using the intraoral camera.

Oral cancer screening.

Periodontal (gum) health exam.

Clinical assessment of the condition of your teeth.

DIAGNOodent (laser) assessment of pit and fissure cavities.

Assessment of your existing restorations.

Bite assessment to check alignment of teeth.

Dr Whitwell reviews your goals, concerns and expectations.

Dr Whitwell reviews his findings with you. You can actually see what’s in your mouth with photos taken from the intraoral camera, The digital X-rays allow us to enlarge the images so you can also see those on our computer screens.

Dr Whitwell discusses treatment options and recommendations with you.

Nervous? Dr. Whitwell will discuss options to make you comfortable during your treatment.

Dr. Whitwell will clean your teeth if time permits.

Before you leave, the front office can schedule your next appointment and help you with payment, inurance or financing concerns.
